Since 2013, Adobe has been migrating its apps and services to the cloud and now runs almost entirely as a SaaS program with users subscribing to their desired packages. If you use Photoshop, Lightroom, or Illustrator, you most likely already have a subscription. The subscription can range from as lows as $10 to high as $83 per month for individual users.
In a bid to foster learning, Adobe has adopted a new strategy for its little clients who are still attending school. The company has made the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of the app available for just $5 per year for K-12 schools; however, each school must purchase a minimum of 500 licenses or 2,500 per district.
This new school package is in addition to the free Spark for Education suite of storytelling apps package also available to K-12 schools and institutions of higher learning. The Adobe Creative Cloud will be implemented in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
