Airtel Kenya has made the announcement that it has connected 3,600 pupils from across seven schools located in Central parts of Kenya and Mombasa in the coastal region. This is in line with the company’s on-going project dubbed “Internet for Schools” that seeks to connect millions of Kenyan pupils to the internet.

The 3,600 pupils from the seven schools join the list of 250,000 others pupils from across Kenya that are already enjoying the internet actress provided by Airtel Kenya. The total number of schools that are currently benefiting from the program have now reached 100.

In a statement, Airtel Kenya CEO, Addi ElmYoussefi said: “Information and Communications Technology Technology (ICT) has become a vital part of every child’s education. The power of the internet is invaluable, and connectivity has the potential to transform education, inspiring students to improve in their studies and become successful people in life. It’s an investment in our Children’s collective future that we believe will yield excellent rewards.”
