Apple is working on bringing TrueDepth Camera to more iPhone and iPad Pro models

TrueDepth camera first debut in iPhone X near the end of 2017, and it has been getting nothing short of a positive review and feedback. People are simply impressed with the feature, and now analysts believe Apple could be working on more Animoji-friendly sensors to be introduced in iPhone and iPad Pro to be launched later this year.

Some experts alread predict that Apple will release a 6.1-inch iPhone later this year. The phone will have an LCD and TrueDepth camera sensor and will have a bigger cousin with a 6.5-inch OLED display; it might be gold-tinted. The experts also believe Apple will extend the smart camera sensors to the iPad Pro, which will also have “a larger dot projector with increased VCSEL content.”

It is important to note that these experts’ predictions are in line with recent moves at Apple. For instance in December last year, Apple gave Finisar, the maker of VCSELs they are using in their TrueDepth camera, a fund of $39 million taken out of its Advanced Manufacturing Fund.
