China Telecom Global (CTG), a subsidiary of the China Telecom Corporation Ltd. and pan-African telecoms group Liquid Telecom have announced their partnership with the purpose of collaborating to provide markets across Africa and Asia with network solutions and services.
This partnership is reported will enable each individual company to serve their respective enterprise and wholesale customers with widespread network coverage in the said markets that registers fast economic growth.
CTG has already set up a Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Liquid Telecom’s East Africa Data Center in Kenya’s capital Nairobi. CTG also plans to set up similar PoP in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. The two companies will further explore joint service opportunities where their partnership could be mutually beneficial.
“With more than 50 countries in the region, Africa is nonetheless the booming new market with the highest development rate just after Asia, and a very important market for CTG,” said Changhai Liu, the MD of CTG (Africa and Middle East Ltd.
