Computer For Schools Kenya In Partnership With Total Donate Computers To Schools

In a move geared towards eradicating computer illiteracy within rural areas in Kenya. Total Kenya Ltd. has donated a large consignment of cargo made up ICT equipment to the Computers For Schools Kenya (CFSK).

This latest consignment from Total will be the fourth time the company has given away refurbished ICT equipment towards initiatives to eradicate computer illiteracy. The most recent batch was made up of 37 Lenovo Docking Stations, 48 CPUs, 51 Monitors, 5 laptops, 14 servers, 12 HP Scanners and 27 printers.

Total Kenya is pleased to partner with CFSK to make ICT accessible to more schools in Kenya and equip the less fortunate schools with computers labs for learning,” said, Premenand Dhoomon, the Finance Director at Total Kenya Ltd.

His counterpart, the Founder of CFSK, Dr. Tom Musili said, “Our partnership with Total Kenya and other organizations has enabled us to provide over five million young Kenyans with access to Information and Communications Technologies.”

The donation of the ICT equipment by Total Kenya Ltd. is part of the company’s environmental safety strategy for safely disposing of Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste (WEEE). …read more
