East African Community signs Draft EU Trade Pact to avoid Tariff Charges

The five East African Community (EAC) nations Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi have successfully negotiated a draft agreement for preferential trade with the European Union (EU). The move extends an earlier signed accord which is set to expire this month, according to officials from Kenya's Foreign Ministry.

The five East African Community (EAC) nations Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi have successfully negotiated a draft agreement for preferential trade with the European Union (EU). The move extends an earlier signed accord which is set to expire this month, according to officials from Kenya’s Foreign Ministry.
