Asheshi University in Ghana will play host to an event widely described as “Africa’s most impactful startup bootcamp”, SpeedUpAfrica on July 6-10, 2016. The event is organized by DraperDarkFlow a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund backed by Tim Draper in partnership with the 500 Startups.

The SpeedUpAfrica bootcamp seeks to speed up the rate African startups develop by providing mentorships, workshops, and financial support. During the event, four of the most promising African startups will walk away with $10,000 worth of toolkits in addition to a one-on-one mentorship opportunity, workshops, some office hour and some growth hacking tips.

The DraperDarkFlow fund in partnership with other investors will invest more than $1 million in the most promising startups.

Tim Draper, founder and MD of Draper Fish Jurveston (DFJ), said, “Africa has a unique opportunity to leapfrog, and do great things.”

SpeedUpAfrica bootcamp is unique in the sense that there will be no keynotes or panelist discussions. Instead, the event will be in full execution mode exploring ways to take African startups to the next growth level.
