When doing a term paper, inputting the citations (and imputing them in the right format) is almost as important as the content of the paper itself. Failure to do so might see your well-researched, accurate, and authoritative paper earn you embarrassing marks.
Now Google, after helping you get the right sources online, is extending its help a little further. It will automatically insert the citations for you in the term paper. Talk about digital assistance!
This feature will come with the upcoming update to the G-Suite. Using a single tap, the citations attributions will be automatically inserted in the footnote for Google Doc, Sheet, and Slide. That has been partly made possible by the contextual “Explore” tab the company launched at the start of this year.
As you can see in the picture below shared by Google in the blog spot, users get the option of inputting the citation in the format of their choice. Although the screenshot appears to be on a mobile device, there is no clarification on whether the same features will be available on the desktop as well.
