In which case, it might require a clean install of the operating system and a possible partitioning of the partition where the OS boots from.

Windows Disk Management

This option is the simplest way to partition a hard disk. Windows’ built-in Disk Management tool, Disk Management is perfectly capable of getting the job done fast.
