Huawei Working On Developing Better 4G/LTE Network In Nigeria

Huawei is currently working on developing better 4G (LTE) Network in Nigeria to sustain the country’s fast-growing demand for broadband connectivity. Mid-November, we ran an article featuring stats by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) that revealed there were now 97.2 million mobile Internet users. In April the same year, this figure stood at 80 million users.

Clearly, Nigerians are getting online in their thousands. This growth in broadband consumption is taking a toll on the existing Internet service infrastructure, and better systems need to be put in place if the demand is going to be met.

Here is where the Chinese mobile phone maker has come to the rescue. Huawei has called upon the stakeholders to get together and establish a better Information and Communications Technology ecosystem in the West African country.

The MD of Huawei Nigeria, Frank Li said they are working on deepening links between Chinese and the Nigerian telecommunications sectors, with the goal of building an alliance with the wider Nigerian ICT industry.
