As far as faster wired data transfer from one device to another, the new iPad Pro is right up there in the league of high-end laptops like the MacBook Pro. According to Ars Technica, the new iPad Pro has an updated Lightning connectors, unlike the previous iPads models. This new Lightning connector supports USB 3.0 data connection speeds.
Apple has been uncharacteristically subtle and non-explicit about the USB 3.0 port on the recently launched iPad Pro. The company left it to third-parties who stumble upon the new connector to make all the noise about it.
The iPad Pro was designed for use by the enterprise or professional user. Such users will appreciate the faster data transfer speeds that come with USB 3.0. Take, for instance, a pro photographer would need to transfer pictures from his DSLR to the fast iPad Pro.
