Come May 23rd to 24th stakeholders in blockchain will converge at Kampala for the Africa Blockchain Conference.
The event themed ‘The role of Blockchain Technology in Africa’s Transformation,’ will bring to policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academia, and blockchain enthusiasts.
The conference will be hosted by the Blockchain Association of Uganda, which is made up of individuals and organization with vested interests to see blockchain technology become widely adopted in the East African nation.
The conference is aimed at sparking both public and private sector interest in the new technology, with each sector seeing how it can leverage on it. There is also the goal of spurring partnership and collaboration between the public and private sectors in the space.
“The conference will focus on how we can build a blockchain ecosystem and position ourselves to be part of global discussions,” said Kwame Rugunda, the chairperson of the Blockchain Association of Uganda.
