Kenya’s Greenbell Communications (GBC) has won the Women Vendors Exhibition and Forum (WVEF) Tech Challenge that took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. GBC is an ICT solutions provider operating in Kenya.
The WVEF Tech Challenge tasked the participants to come up with innovative web- and app-based solutions build on online database systems that make it easy for the female entrepreneurs to start a business. The solutions created are open to women-owned business from across the globe; these solutions are geared towards connecting the women-owned businesses with prospective buyers. They are also touted to help women-owned businesses to market their products and have a target of connecting one million female entrepreneurs to the market by 2020.
Greenbell Communications came up with an app that connects female entrepreneurs from across the globe. The app, which was picked as the winner, was developed by more than 300 participating companies.
