Microsoft announces official release date of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Redmond tech giant, and the biggest player in the desktop computing space, Microsoft has announced the official date it will release the next stage evolution of the Windows OS.

As you may already know, Microsoft has resorted not to release major updates to its last major Windows release, the Windows 10. Instead, it will be releasing minor-to-near-major updates to Windows 10; in the same fashion, it releases security and stability patches.

The first release of Windows 10 was on July 29th, 2015. It was later followed by the November Update in November the same year. The next release was in July 2016, the Anniversary Update and the Creators Update that was released early this year.

The next release, the Fall Creators Update, as officially announced by Microsoft will be October 17th during the Fall Season in North America. It will the next step up the Windows evolution ladder after the Creators Update and will build upon it.
