In May this year, the phone maker that was supposed to be dead after selling out to Microsoft broke the news it is coming back to life. The resurrection of Nokia will be through a newly formed company in Finland HMD Global Oy (HMD). The first offering of the resurrected being the Nokia D1C; and no, it will not be running the Symbian OS. It will be running Android 7 Nougat.
The news of the said Nokia D1C first surfaced from GeekBench who were running tests on the phone’s specs. According to results by GeekBench, the DIC phone running Android Nougat was able to achieve the highest 682 in the single-core score and 3,299 in the multi-core score tests. The said phone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm chip clocking at 1.4 GHz and backed up by a 3GB RAM. That was all the specifications made public so far.
