A new flabbergasting report has claimed that Apple’s upcoming iPhone will have no Home button. If true, this would be a huge change and we will see an iPhone without a physical home button for the first time since the launch of the revolutionary device by Steve Jobs. The claim is coming from the famous analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray.
According to Munster, there is a 50% chance that Apple will remove the physical home button in iPhone 7. This would let Apple to increase the screen size without actually increasing the size of the overall device. An iPhone without a home button will have less bezel size, which means more screen size, just like we have in Android devices. Apart from size, another factor points out a reason why Apple could remove Home button. iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus came with 3D touch, and the importance of home button was slashed in a formidable manner. Apple could stash all the features of its Home button into the 3D touch and remove the button.
