SwiftAide is a Kenya-based startup that seeks to provide users access to labor on demand. The site enlists people on a freelance basis, and employer looking to hire temporary services such as household cleaning, delivery, handyman, and any other type of everyday tasks.
The site is optimized to run on mobile devices, something that will appeal to most users most, as smartphones are readily accessible at a moment’s notice compared to traditional desktop computers.
“It’s like an Uber for these and many more services,” said Gorge Karimi, the co-founder of SwiftAide during an interview with a section of the media.
SwiftAide began in mid-2017 and came about following the frustration Karimi and his wife faced while searching for a cleaning lady. The duo then decided to start an online platform where users can go peruse through enlisted help and hire labor at a moment’s notice.
Those who enlist their services on SwiftAide need to be vetted through a process that also conducts a background check and verifies their skills and competencies on the job they enlist their services.
