The seventh African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) by Internet Society will be hosted in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania starting August 30 to September 1, 2016.
For the first time, Tanzania will play host to the annual AfPIF event. Internet Society has partnered with the Tanzania Internet Service Provides Association (TISPA) to hold the seventh AfPIF in the capital Dar es Salaam.
This event will bring together key stakeholders in the Internet infrastructure and services in Africa to deliberate on among other things; the opportunities that come with interconnection, peering and traffic exchange in Africa.
The forum seeks to build cross-border interconnection opportunities and facilitate discussions on African Internet infrastructure challenges, including terrestrial capacity, development of national and regional Internet Exchange Points (IXP) and local content.
