The medieval fantasy series Game of Thrones is perhaps one of if not the best drama series currently out there. The drama was written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss in an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s book A Game of Thrones.
The plot unfolds in a process of interweaving action taking place in multiple separate locations in and around two fictional continents, the Westeros, and Essos. Most of the actions unfold in Westeros, also referred to as the Seven Kingdoms. When you think about it, are they not actually nine kingdoms? That is the Crownland, the Dorne, the Iron Island, the North, the Reach, the Riverlands, the Stormlands, the Vale, and the Westerlands.
The vast icy continent of Essos lies east of Westeros across the Narrow Sea separated by a massive wall of ice and some old magic. While following the characters as the series unravels is quite easy, keeping up with the geographical locations of the different kingdoms spread out across Westeros and Essos is a different thing.
