Lizzie’s Creation, the Nigerian startup that gave the world the AfroTalez episodic storytelling app, has rebranded and will now be called ZenAfri. According to the startup’s CEO, Elizabeth Kperrun-Eremie, the new name encapsulates the company’s Afrocentric values and mission of creating world-class apps with an African touch.
“The rebrand was primarily inspired by the need for a name that on first glance reflects what we as a company are about,” said Elizabeth.
“The word ‘zen’ is interpreted as a state of ‘enlightenment’ or ‘unique knowledge,’ and so our new identity directly represents our goal of educating and creating enlightenment while promoting and staying true to our core African cultural heritage.”
As the company rebrands, they have also marked the rebranding with the release of a new app, an interactive novel titled, ‘Decisions: Cecelia’s Choices.’ It is about the story of a teenage girl from an African suburb. The story highlights the unique challenges she faces as she goes through her daily life routines.
