World Bank has partnered with iHub to host a One-Week boot camp for startups in East Africa

The World Bank Group and the Kenya-based accelerator, incubator, and co-working space, iHub have partnered to launch a one-week boot camp for tech startups in East Africa.

The one-week boot camp is an acceleration program targeting promising tech startups in the East Africa region. The acceleration program intends to help the startups scale their innovative digital product and commercialize it for sustainable income generation and economic development in their respective communities. The campsite will be in Nairobi, Kenya and will provide intensive mentorship, skills building programs to participating startups.

iHub’s Traction Camp, an acceleration program launched six months ago, and the World Bank’s infoDev program will synchronize their effort and bring in 20 most promising startups into the boot camp.

The startups will then be taken through a 6-months-long acceleration program. During which they will get growth-oriented support on how to scale their businesses using tailor-made programs. The program will also take the startups through rapid cycles of competitive curriculum and match them swiftly to the appropriate capital and business mentors.
